Most data on the East and Alter families are from the Trinity Luth. Church records from Reading, Berks, PA.

Daniel East, b. 23 Sept. 1794, Berks, PA, d. 1873, Lancaster, PA, bu?
There are two Daniel Easts listed as having died in 1873 in Lancaster, PA. At present, it's hard to tell which one was our Daniel East, b. 1794. He lived in 1870 with his son-in-law Joh. Lewis Aukamp and presumably died 3 years later in Lancaster City.
There are probably records in Lancaster, PA, which would establish his actual death date.

Daniel East ma. ca. 1820, to ? Some say Elisabeth Hensel, b. 1797, d/o Wm. Hensel of Lancaster, PA, is Daniel East's wife. But as the Daniel East born 1799, to Abraham East, Michael's younger brother, Also married an Elizabeth, it's not possible to tell without a marriage record, none of which are known in either Lancaster or Berks, PA.

Daniel's dau., Maria Louisa East, b. 14 Feb. 1821, Lancaster, PA, d. 10 Jul. 1889, Lancaster, PA, bu. N. Prov. Mennonite Cem.
      Sibs Unk.
She ma. 8 Sep. 1840, Lancaster, PA, to John Lewis Aukamp, b. 24 Jan. 1820, near/in Dielingen, Preuss, d. 30 Aug. 1904, Lancaster, bu. N. Prov. Mennonite Cem., Lancaster, PA
John was bapt'd. "Johan Ludvig" in Dielingen Evang. Luth. Church, Westphalia, by his mother, Henrietta Aukamp, nee'?, b. ca. 1795, Holland, and died in the 1870's in Lancaster City, PA, bu.? (prob. in Lancaster), and Unk. Aukamp.
Henrietta remarried 1832, Dielingen, to Wilhelm Heinrich Franz Kasten, b. ca. 1800, and died in the 1880's in Lancaster, PA. bu.? They had 2 more children: Mary L. Carson, b. ca. 1840, Lancaster, PA; and her older brother, Henry (nee Kasten) Carson, b. 1833, bapt'd, in Dielingen. They immigrated to the US in 1834 according to John Lewis Aukamp's naturalization papers.
John Lewis had a full brother, Henry Augustus, b. 3 Aug. 1824, Dielingen, Preuss, d. 24 Nov. 1904, Lancaster, PA, who married Elizabeth Kopp

      Daniel, b. 1794, TLC records, was a s/o Michael East, b. 8 Aug. 1769, Berks, PA, d. 14 Sept. 1828, Lancaster, PA, bu.?
Ma. 18 Dec. 1791 (by Rev. Karl Friedrich Wildbahn), Reading, PA, to Maria Dorthea Alter, b. 7 Oct. 1768, Reading, Berks, PA, d. 2 Dec. 1825, Reading, Berks, PA, bu.?
Michael was recorded to have been living in Philadelphia at the time of his marriage.

Maria was the 2nd d/o Joh. Jacob Alter, b. ca. 1735, Germany, d. before 1780, Reading, PA, bu.? & ma. 26 May 1761, Philadelphia, PA, to Elisabetha Willerich, b. 25 Apr. 1735, Pfalz, Bavaria, Germany, d. 10 Aug. 1817, Reading, PA, bu.? Widow of Jacob Alter; d/o Unk. Willerich.
Known Children of Michael East & Maria Alter
      1. Daniel, b. 23 Sept. 1794
      2. Elizabetha b. 28 Aug. 1796, Berks, PA
      3. Wilhelm b. 16 Sept. 1798,
      Others likely.

There appears to be an Unexplained, 10 yr. gap between Wilhelm b. 1798, and an Anna East, b. 1808 to Michael East & Maria (presumably Alter). Whether he remarried to a Maria, or they had left the area for 10 yrs, having children elsewhere, is not clear. It's not clear that this was the same Michael East, either.

Michael East ma. 2nd 1826, Reading, PA, to Catharina Keen, Widow Frey, b. 2 Oct. 1772, d. 5 Dec. 1826, bu.?. No children.

Michael East was the oldest son of Daniel East, a Silversmith in Philadelphia, b. ca. 1736-8, England, d. ca. 1786-8, Reading, PA, bu?
Daniel ma. 8 July 1755, Reading, PA, to Hannah Righty (Richter?) b., d.?
      Known Children:
      1. Joh. Georg East b. 1 Mar. 1759, bapt. 25 Mar., prob. d. before 1791.
      2. Michael East, b. see above.
      3. Abraham East, b. 21 Feb. 1771, Reading, PA., d.? Abe also had a son, Daniel, b. 1799, Reading, PA, d.?
      4. Maria Eva East, b. ca. 1760, Reading, PA, d. after 1780; She ma. 2 July 1780, Reading, to Wilhelm Hensel of Lancaster, PA, s/o William Hensel, Sr.

One further relevant East related event in the church records:
William Henry Francis Aukamp, b. 2 Mar. 1849, to John Lewis & Louisa (East) Aucamp, bapt'd. 12 Apr. 1849, Trin. Luth Ch., Reading, PA, sponsored by William Henry Francis Carson (nee' Franz Kasten), the step father of Joh. Aukamp.
