Beck - my paternal Great, Grandmother's line
For many years, we did not know much about the Beck line past Catherine 'Kate' Beck who married Leander Ransom Tong. Both were born in Wyandot Co, Ohio. Through a cousin, we learned that Kate's parents were John Beck and Catherine Minehart.
Learning this, opened up a wealth of information on the Beck Line (which I am still trying to sort through). However, we have traced the line back to Johann Heinrich 'John Henry' Beck born in Alsace-Lorraine, Germany. Johann traveled to America in 1740 on the 'Lydia' from Rotterdam, Netherlands to Philadelphia.
Over the years, the Becks moved across Pennsylvania and then Ohio. We will continue to add more information as we have time.
